How much does an au pair cost?
Once we have your completed application, we’ll organise a phone call to get to know you better and ensure we understand your needs. After our call, we will start your search with a non-refundable activation fee – $100 for returning families or $200 for new families. Long-term placement fee includes a 30-day free replacement. Placements are for six months with the option to extend. This activation fee applies to all applications, whether they are short- or long-term. Short-term placements do not include a 30-day free replacement.

After your telephone consultation with a member of our team, we will prepare your Partner List – your shortlist of au pairs – which most closely match your needs. We include a comprehensive interview guide so you can start interviewing straight away.
Our friendly, experienced team are trained to help guide you (and your au pair) through every step of the journey – from interview tips to drafting family agreements and pay structures. We will be in regular contact with you, and also welcome any questions you may have throughout your au pair’s placement.This is the Au Pair Partners point of difference – we are a partner through the entire process.
We will provide all the documentation and tools you need, when you need them. We follow-up with host families and au pairs. All placements include a free 30-day replacement guarantee.

Placement fee for our long-term au pairs with babysitting experience, good English and a keen interest in children. Some may be non-drivers. No sole care for children under two. Pocket money $200 per week.
Placement fee for our long-term au pairs with a little EXTRA; either more childcare experience or advanced language skills. Most gold au pairs are drivers. Pocket money $250 per week.
Placement fee for long-term au pairs with at least 6-12 months’ childcare work-experience or who have studied childcare/teaching. More generous pocket money applies of $400 per week. Diamond au pairs are able to take on more responsibility and care for younger children/infants.
At the completion of a six-month stay with your family, you will pay your au pair a $500 bonus, and then for each month ongoing, a $100 monthly bonus.
Short-term au pair $600
We sometimes have candidates for short-term placements (less than 6 months). Fees start at $600 for short-term Silver, $700 for short-term Gold, $850 for short-term Diamond. Short-term placements do not offer a replacement guarantee.
Demi pair $800
Placement fee for demi pair. A demi pair living with a family to provide 15 - 20 hours of care per week. They may also help with light housework and will have some babysitting experience, good English and a keen interest in children. Some may be non-drivers.
